Assistant Cook
Overview
The Role:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Assistant Cook to join our friendly team. You will be key in the cover of the kitchen, ensuring preparation and service of high-quality meals for our pupils and staff, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and complies with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- The preparation, cooking, and serving of meals.
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and dining area.
- Following food hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Assisting with stock control and storage.
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices (training will be provided if required).
- Previous experience in a catering or similar role is desirable but not essential.
Working hours would be 9:30am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday during term time.
